Note this article only applies to themes using the pop-out SHARE button at the bottom of the blog, such as The Writer and Express.
In themes using Addthis or a different share method, you may turn off the Sharing under Theme Options, then install any WordPres sharing plugin to gain access to other share options. In general, all of our newer themes using addthis will allow the user to choose any network by clicking the orange button next to the Like and Tweet buttons.
The sharing script in these themes is an opensource project written by Carrot Creative. The following post outlines modifications to add Pinterest and other networks to the script.
This is considered a modification, so do it at your own risk! Make a backup of your existing file so you can replace it if something goes wrong and you need to start over. Modified files WILL probably be replaced by a theme update at some point so keep note of your changes for future reference or see our guides below.
