When you download the sample content, it will be in a zip file. Unzip the file to find an XML document inside. In WordPress, go to Tools > Import and click WordPress. If you are prompted to install the importer, follow the prompts to do so. Once complete, click browse and go to the XML file to select it. Upload it and wait a bit. It will ask you to create a new user, or assign all posts to a user you select. Select your username and then click “Import file attachments”. This wiill probably fail for several items, and you will have to add your own featured images, but it will get you started with the core structure.
