Obox Instant is a WordPress cloud hosting solution that provides you with fast, secure and reliable hosting of a WordPress site, complete with full setup of an Obox business theme and WooCommerce functionality. We partner with RSAWeb, a premier WordPress host located in South Africa to provide hosting, backup and security for your site, while granting you the same great WordPress themes and support you have come to expect from Obox.
Sign Up
Obox Instant accounts may be added to your existing Obox account, but will be billed separately. Because Obox Instant includes full setup of a theme, you will need to choose one during signup, even if it is one you already own. Signup is quick and easy:
- Visit our Obox Instant page and choose a theme
- Click Pricing Options
- Choose the Obox Instant option and complete the payment process
- Search for the domain name you wish to use, or click the “” link to add a domain you already own
- Click Use Domain and confirm your choice
- Check your email for important payment receipts and your Obox Instant introduction email
- Setup is instant, however the testing, access and domain propegation can take up to 24 hours. Keep an eye on your email for your host and WordPress login information.
Account Management
To Add and Edit Domains, setup FTP, check payment history or cancel, click the Dashboard link on our site and login, then proceed to Obox Instant on the left side.

Support
Obox Themes & Plugins
Obox provides full support for your Obox themes and plugins to the extent of troubleshooting theme-related issues, assisting with setup and basic customization, usage questions and basic help with WooCommerce.

Full setup and configuration of your theme and WooCommerce is included free upon initial setup. In the event of WordPress or theme corruption, malware attacks or other preventable issues requiring software to be reinstalled, we may be able to restore your site to an earlier point in time to aid in recovery, but will not be able to perform manual setup and configuration for you.
Please note that we are unable to offer full support for modified Obox themes or child themes. Once you modify the theme, it is considered a derivative and becomes your development responsibility. We do offer tips on child themes and managing modifications here:
Other Themes & Plugins
Third-party plugins and themes are not supported by us, with the exception of limited WooCommerce support, and may cause issues that impact your hosting environment. Please see the following for important Theme and Plugin information:

Hosting
We will provide full triage support for host-related issues such as PHP configuration, severe performance issues not related to your WordPress setup, the site being down or inaccessible and malware/attacks. Please contact Obox Support to report any of these issues and we will assist you with initial troubleshooting, then contact the network engineers for you if necessary.
Updates & Backup
Obox Instant manages routine backups of your site and database, as well as updates for WordPress. You are responsible for keeping your Theme and Plugins updated via the WordPress Dashboard.
Security
Our hosting service provider employs world class security technology throughout their Data Centres, including biometric authentication and RFID tag systems, and uses industry-standard monitoring techniques to help keep your site secure.
However, you are responsible for maintaining theme and plugin updates on your site, chosing 3rd-party products from reputable sources, and using strong passwords to secure your admin.
We also recommend installing the Bulletproof Security or Wordfence Security plugin for added WordPress security and notification.
